Super easy, fast and inexpensive spaghetti/marinara/tomato sauce. Use organic ingredients whenever possible.

Total time: 25 minutes 2 cups
Ingredients
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 medium yellow onion
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 - 1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 1/2 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp pepper 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste 1 1/2 cups water
Instructions
Heat the oil over medium heat in a saucepan. Sautee onions for 5-7 mins. then add garlic and cook until just softened about another minute more.
Add the rest of the ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium heat, for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Mash tomatoes once softened. If you desire a chunkier sauce, don’t mash. I use a potato masher. You can use a fork if you don’t have a masher.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Then serve.
